We lost one of our own this year...

As we refelect on this past year it is very difficut to wrap our minds around the fact that we have lost one of the most important breath savers since the last time we shared our time together. The inspiration behind this site, this movement, and this charity is of course our Dad, Pete Kaylor; however, long before any one had uttered the words "lung cancer" a different and equally scary form of cancer entered our family, breast cancer. Over 30 years ago my Dad's beloved sister fought an won her battle against breast cancer but over the next years cancer threw all that it had at her and eventually, cancer (mutliple myeloma) took her from us.

All forms of cancer need to be destroyed. I am pretty sure we all agree upon that note. Our family fights for early detection of lung cancer in order to help save lives but that in no way diminishes our disdain for all cancers. This year, when we let go of our pearl white balloons we will release one for her just as she did for Daddy. Lung cancer, breast cancer, multiple myeloma, it matters not. We lost one of our own warriors this year and we will always remember. We love you Aunt June.
